CAB
- Seat cushions and covers should not be torn or damaged. Replace if necessary with seat cover kits.
- Paper work should be complete and sent with truck. Fire extinguisher and flare kit must be in truck.
- Fire extinguisher charged and mounted properly.
- All components must work properly, (gauges, window regulators, heater-defroster, exterior lights, dash lights, wiper, city horn, air horn, AC unit etc.) (Control switches must be readable) Wiper blades not torn or defective / Working seat belts.
- No Engine or ABS lights on. Repair all codes regardless of issue. Mixer controls working.
- Inside of cab should be detailed and cleaned, new inside door panels and floor mats should be installed where needed.
- Cab exterior must be cleaned free of built up concrete.
- Light lens replaced if broken.
- Company radio and all related components removed.
- Window glass and windshield not acid etched or cracked, no rock chips or spider cracks.
CHASIS
- Steam clean or high pressure clean front to rear including engine area and under carriage. Brakes to be at company specifications.
- Suspension parts should inspected (springs,bushings, drag link, tie rod ends, etc., Drive lines should be properly lubricated, any leaks repaired unless minor seepage. (loose shafts or yokes), transfer case should not have play when tested for shaft movement. If detected truck records needs to be reviewed to see what work has been performed previously so a decision can be reached on the extent of the repair.
- Cross members and fish plates tight, torque arms tight and frame bolts tight.
- Electric wires not hanging down.
- Problematic wiring harness need to be replaced.
- Tag axle safety straps replaced if worn.
ENGINE, HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BOWL DRIVE
- Pressure clean any detected leaks and fixe leaking seals. Radiators and coolers must be completely cleaned, special attention not to bend cooler fins (low pressure high flow cleaning)
- Fuel / DEF tank straps not broken or corroded through.
- Engine oil & filter should be changed if due for service. Send oil sample in for analysis. Write date and hours on filters.
- Air filter changed if due for service.
- Annual CPM should be performed if over 4 months post service. Batteries should be good enough to start in extreme cold.
- Anti-freeze must be good to 30 below.
- All fluids full, including fuel and def.
- Auto lube system operational and filled
- Fuel tank vent lines (check for obstruction, blow clean).
DRUM AND EXTERIOR
- Check overall drum condition for thickness, fins and paddles, corrective action if necessary
- Concrete build up removed inside drum and exterior of truck.
- Engine cover shocks should work, and hood latch should line up correctly when hood is lowered.
- Chutes should not leak or appear to be worn out (60% or better).
- Main chute repaired if end lip is worn out.
- Mud flaps should be installed.
- Sight glass on bowl drive must be clean and fluid level correct and not leaking.
- Flip up hopper working and no air leaks.
- Mixer counter, sight tube and tank water gauge should be DOT condition.
- Tires should be a minimum of 70% on steers and drives, 50% pusher and tags. No caps on drives. Tire pressures checked.
- Fenders-no major cracks or dents. Repair if possible, if not replace.
- Engine cover must be in good working condition. No major damage.
THE GENERAL OVERALL CONDITION OF THE UNIT SHOULD BE AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE. PLEASE MAKE CERTAIN THAT YOU PERSONALLY INSPECT YOUR TRUCKS BEFORE YOU TRANSFER THEM TO THE TROY SALE LOT.
